5 weeks

Here is a rundown of the trip we just did.

We left Newport, Rhode Island and ended up in Portland, Maine the next day. From then on is was just shy of five weeks with guests on.

We spent roughly one week up in the depths of Lobster country in Maine (we ended up about 50miles from the Canadian Border). That time was filled with Lobster pot spotting, fog horn blowing, and generally freezing ourselves silly.

A quick overnight trip saw us back to the warmth of Boston (sea temp went from 13c to 23c in the space of 100nm!). We hung in Boston for a few days, and then scooted over to Cape Cod for a night stopover before venturing down into Martha's Vineyard. Once again in the space of 50nm the sea temp went from 23c down to 12c and then back to 24c.

Once we in Vineyard Sound, we spent most days sailing between the anchorages, most notably being Hyannis (where JFK and his mates used to chill), Edgartown (where Jaws was filmed and based), as well as Nantucket (there once was a man from.....).

We made our way back home to newport for a little while, before going back to Vineyard Sound and Cuttyhunk Island. After a few more days, we ended up looking for the Montauk Monster in Long Island Sound, before going making our way to New York where Barack Obama welcomed us to the final stop of our tour.

This is the number of lobster pots I have tried to explain to many people, the whole state of Maine is like this!

There was actually a decent surf break on this island!

This is a rainbow cloud, apparently ver very rare, we saw a couple of these in the space of 2 or 3 days. It is some crazy thing to do with ice in the air and the angle of the sun (which is only at that point for for a few times a year).

Another rainbow cloud, it basically disappeared before I got the camera onto it, hence the high saturation in the photo.
