Hanging Around

It's been a pretty busy week in Palma with the boat. She has been up on the hard for the last two weeks and  on Thursday she was due to go back into the water. So as per usual, the 700t travel-lift made its way to the boat, and picked her up, then it made its' way to the dock where the boat would be placed nice and gently into the water. Only issue was that the crane broke a wheel bearing halfway to the water, after a few shaky moments with the rig (backstay was off and there was a little bit of a wobble up starting!), we soon realised that the boat would literally be hanging around for at least the night, if not three.

So we packed our bags and spent the night in a hotel, turns out that has been my first night not on the boat in 4 months! Thankfully the bearing was all sorted by Friday morning and we were soon back in the water. With Cam leaving for New Zealand that morning, we soon realised that I was the only deck crew left on the boat, nothing a bit of telling the yard guys what ropes to pull and when wouldn't fix.

Below are some photos from the yard period so far.
